Hillcrestian’s greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall. Hillcrest is the “Green House” and Hillcrest stands for “Heights of success”.
Its green colour symbolizes Prosperity and Harmony. The motto of our House is “Heights create the imaginations” which has been hence proved.
This session has been satisfactory for Oakland House in-terms of achievements. Though there were times which brought smiles to our faces, there were times of disappointment too. But Victory is the sweetest, when you have known defeat. Our tiny tots Riyansh Saxena (I-A) and Vatsal Tiwari (I-B) secured 2nd and 1st position respectively in Fun- Race. In Frog- Jump Race Shubham Sharma of II-B achived 1st position in the English Debate Competition held on 15th Aug., Aisha Khan from class VIII and Ojal from class X collectively bagged the 2nd position. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our House members for their House - spirit and team work.
Our hearts go in praise and extend our thanks to the backbone of the House that is the House Incharge and Co- Incharge alongwith other House teachers.

The students of Oakland House are always determined to do their best by following the motto of our House which inspires and motivates them to achieve their goals through hard work and perseverance. Oakland House has always inspired its students to accept every challenge that life offers. They are always eager to accomplish any work or responsibility. To attain goals and achieve success the House appointees work rigorously and inspire and motivate the House students from time to time.
We emphasize all Hillcrestians should inculcate high imagination and creativity. The House excelled in almost all spheres and the students with the support of their House teachers put in their maximum efforts in bringing crown to the House . Hillcreatians are very determined to be the best and are striving to attain the task. The session 2014 -2015 began with a boost as we Hillcrestians stood first in the Inter House Debate Competition for classes VI- XI due to the skill & efforts put in by Anurag Prasad and Vartika Verma.

“Happiness does not come from doing easy work but from the afterglow of satisfaction that comes after the achievement of a difficult task that demanded our best.”
The utmost care of the tender hearts is taken to unfold the inner capabilities and latent talents in students through the competitive yet cordial environment provided in the school premises under the leadership of four Houses . The Woodland House for the session of 2014-2015 has been both dynamic and colourful. We learnt qualities like leadership, team spirit, sportsmanship, organization etc. while competing with the other three House s. Our House students were coached by different skilled mentors. This enabled the students to earn valuable points and fetch a string of medals.
This year Woodland House claimed first position in Mask Race Competition (A- group). We scored second position for Hindi Doha Recitation (B-Group).Frog Jump Race (A – group). Essay Writing Competition ( C- group) and Teacher Day Skit Competition (B- group). We are highly indebted to our Management and the Principal, for reposing faith in us. We feel grateful to our House In- charge Mrs. Guneet Kaur and other House teachers under whose guidance we are able to achieve these awards and medals. We are thankful to all the students of our House for their whole hearted co – operation. We personally wish that the Almighty shower blessings on everyone. With this we would like to end with the words of Fredrick W. Roberston : “ Instruction ends in the classroom, but education ends only with life”

If there are two characteristics which define Highfield House , they are tenacity and loyalty. We all believe that “to accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but execute the plan and believe in ourselves”. Highfield did well in the preceding session. All it needs is to be nudged in the right direction. Our success and failures have depended entirely on whether we were able to channel the abundant energy of the students to achieve a meaningful aim, or whether we allowed them to pull against each other and tear apart the fabric of House . Like everyone, we had our ups and downs this year. Inter House Doha Recitation was really a major event for all of us, as we had put a lot of effort in training the kids. All the hard work paid off well and we were victorious with Umrah Naeem and Khyati Pandey securing 1st Position.
We also secured 1st position in Aashu Bhashan Pratiyogita for classes IX – XI by the hard efforts of Jaspreet Kaur. Highfield also secured third position in Inter House Dramatics Competition. It was a joy a to watch and learn from students with such enthusiasm and intelligence. There were several students who worked with a great deal of zeal and fervour to make job easier. We would especially like to thank all the Highfield teachers for their unstinting support and the students for their predominantly forthcoming co-operation and enthusiasm. We extremely hope that in the next session our golden run towards excellence and achievements would continue.
